Michelle is a junior Journalism student with a focus on News Writing and Editorials. Along with her journalism major, she is working toward a minor in English and a Professional Writing certificate.

After graduation, she plans to work in the journalism field as a Public Relations Specialist.

Last year she transferred to UC’s Journalism School from Ohio University where she majored in Communication Studies. While she is new to the journalism major she is not new to journalism. When she attended Anderson High School in Cincinnati, Michelle wrote for both the newspaper and the yearbook. During her senior year, she was the Managing Editor of The Andersonian, her school’s yearbook.

After serving last year as UC SPJ’s treasurer, Michelle is eager to serve as this year’s vice-president and hopes to bring new and creative ideas to the group.

Outside of her interest in a career in journalism, Michelle spends her time as the fundraising chair for UC’s Alpha Phi Omega community service Fraternity. She is passionate about helping her community by volunteering through APO.

Michelle is excited to be back in her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio and looks forward to her next three years of college at UC.
